Welcome Mrs. Landry's Lions, Mrs. Faucheux's Zebras, and Mrs. Norris' Giraffe's. We hope you are all WILD ABOUT LEARNING!!! We are very eager and excited to teach you lots of exciting things in our "Animal Kingdom" this year.We hope you each had a great first week back to school!
I will be teaching Math and Science to all three 4th gr classes this year, so please allow me a little extra time to get to know all 75 students' names. I am also excited to welcome my student teacher, Ms. Kayla Lemoine from SELU. She will be with us this Fall semester.
The children have quickly learned I'm a "neat freak", and being organized at all times is vital to success in life. Daily routine is so important also in developing responsibility. I can assure you I will work hard to get your child to become independent, responsible 4th graders this year!!! It is imperative your child has all his materials at all times for our classes.(supply list can be found on our Shenandoah website).Being ready and organized is the first step to a successful year! Thank you for supporting me in this. :)
Important things to remember:
1. Your child's assignment pad should NEVER BE BLANK!! If it is, "there's a problem!" . Ask them to see it NIGHTLY.
2. You have access to your child's grades online. Please begin checking your child's grades on a regular basis.. If you have lost your login info. or you are a new family to Shenandoah, please send a note to Ms. Emily in the office requesting login information for grades online.
3. Please sign your child's MATH/READING LOG EVERY NIGHT! Failure to do so affects their grades.
4.Please remember to sign your child's weekly conduct report every Friday evening and make sure your child returns it to his homeroom teacher every following Monday morning. We are hoping you are monitoring this report on a daily basis but we only require you to sign it weekly.
